KY Corn Hiring Communications Director

The Kentucky Corn Growers Association is seeking a full-time Communications Director to develop and lead strategic communications, media outreach, and advocacy efforts for our farmer-led organizations. This role is central to telling the story of Kentucky agriculture, strengthening markets, and advancing policy priorities of the Kentucky Corn Growers Association and the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communications & PR strategies
  • Serve as media contact and spokesperson
  • Create engaging content across digital, print, and video platforms
  • Manage websites, newsletters, annual reports and social channels
  • Support major events like the KY Commodity Conference, State Fair, Trade Team Missions, and Trade Shows
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, policymakers, and ag industry partners

Qualifications:

  • Degree in communications, PR or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years professional communications/PR experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and digital media skills
  • Agriculture knowledge preferred (grain production a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
