The Kentucky Corn Growers Association is proud to announce that Brandon Hunt of Herndon, Kentucky, has been elected to the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Board of Directors. Hunt’s election marks a historic milestone as the first Kentucky farmer to serve on the national board.
“It’s an honor to represent Kentucky corn farmers on the national stage,” said Hunt. “I’m committed to working collaboratively with growers across the country to protect our long-term profitability, push for smart innovation, and ensure farmers’ perspectives stay at the heart of national policy decisions.”
A longtime leader and advocate for Kentucky agriculture, Hunt brings years of experience and commitment to advancing the interests of corn growers both in the Commonwealth and across the country. His election underscores the increasing role Kentucky farmers are playing in shaping national agricultural policy and priorities.
Hunt and his family operate a multi-generational row crop farm that raises corn, wheat, soybeans, tobacco, and hemp. His hands-on experience managing a large and complex farming operation has shaped his leadership style, rooted in problem-solving, adaptability, and a deep connection to the agricultural community. He strives to succeed as a corn farmer, while prioritizing giving back to the industry to steer corn farming in a positive direction for future generations.
Hunt is focused on advocating for policies that support long-term profitability and sustainability for corn growers, promoting research to tackle industry challenges, and strengthening communication and collaboration to ensure grassroots voices are heard at the national level.
Hunt’s three-year term on the NCGA Board will begin in October 2025.
