Corn farmer checkoff funds go to a variety of annual programming to ensure a strong and vibrant Kentucky agriculture industry and to strengthen the efforts of other organizations toward their missions to enhance the future of our industry.

Core Farmer Scholarship

The CORE Farmer Program is a two-year curriculum designed to deliver classroom-style instructional learning, expand participants’ peer network and gain perspectives from other business endeavors.

2022 Kentucky Corn Yield Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Kentucky Extension Corn Yield Contest and the Kentucky winners of the National Corn Yield Contest.

The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service administers the Kentucky Corn Yield Contest. Awards are sponsored by Pioneer, H&R AgriPower, and the Kentucky Corn Growers Association. Winners will be honored at the Kentucky Commodity Conference on January 19, 2023.

Full Results and Production Practices

Winners of the NCGA National Corn Yield Contest were also announced this week. Kentucky did not earn a spot in the national results, but leading Kentucky farmers will be honored at Commodity Classic in March.
